SPARK Musicality Junior Course Monday 24 - Wednesday 26 July 2023

Course Information:

Children will work with Francesca Cottrell, professional musical theatre actor and theatrical agent. Francesca has worked in professional shows from Les Miserables to pantomime and is an experienced dance and musical theatre teacher for children of all ages. Francesca will be joined by Music Specialist Jenny Jones and Raphy McDavitt-Lowe who ran the highly successful Easter course this year.

In regular sessions, pupils will enjoy a variety of music, dance and drama games and learn a few routines for a short performance at 12.15pm on the final day of the course. Those children staying for the extended session will join Jenny and Raphy as the oversee a fun series of activities and crafts to tie in with the theatrical themes of the regular sessions.

Location - The Durlacher, St Andrew's Prep, Meads Street, Eastbourne, BN20 7RP

Timings - 9.30am - 12.30pm daily

JUNIOR EXTENDED COURSE

Timings - Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 July 9.30am - 3.30pm, Wednesday 9.30am - 12.30pm

For children and parents who would prefer to stay on until 3:30pm we can offer an extended option on the Monday and Tuesday of the course

The children will follow the same Musical Theatre Course during the morning but will be able to stay on for an afternoon session on the Monday and Tuesday.

For this we ask children to bring a packed lunch and a snack/refillable water bottle for lunch/afternoon.

The children will be supervised for lunch and some playtime (outside weather permitting) between 12:30 – 1:15

Open to pupils currently in Years 1-4*

* Pupils in Year 4 may feel they want to try the Middles Course. The Middles course is considerably more intensive but for some Year 4 pupils it may be an option - please contact Robert Cousins at St. Andrew's Prep (rmcousins@standrewsprep.co.uk) if you would like help in making this decision. The Junior course remains a really great option for all in Years 1-4.
